Island Brac, Croatia

Sutivan is set on north-western coast of Brac, just opposite of Split. It is only 13 km distant from it. Because of this, Sutivan used to be the main entrance to Brac island.

Nowadays, this title belongs to nearby Supetar (only 7 km southeast). Sutivan is Split's favorite holiday place, and a number of Split families have their summer houses here.

Sutivan is famous for its festival of extreme sports "Vanka regule" (out of regulations) which takes place in the last week of July.
