Island Brac, Croatia

Povlja is situated in a large cove on the north east coast of island Brac. It is 10 km to the east from the ferry port of Sumartin which connects Brac with Makarska.

The place is surrounded with a number of bays with beautiful beaches. Povlja has plenty of open tennis courts and a football field.

Povlja is rich in monuments of exceptional cultural value. The Early Christian basilica with the font is the best preserved monument of the period and one of the most frequented religious objects of the kind in Croatia.
